Brentford maintained their leadership of League One after a hard fought 1-0 win over struggling Milton Keynes Dons.<\/p>\n

Kevin O’Connor’s 62nd minute penalty ensured Martin Allen’s side held off the challenge of second place Scunthorpe.<\/p>\n

Second faced third at Glanford Park and it was Scunthorpe who claimed the spoils with a 2-0 victory over Port Vale.<\/p>\n

First half goals from Richard Hinds and Andrew Keogh were enough to see off the challenge of Vale.<\/p>\n

Huddersfield moved above Port Vale into third place in the table with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Oldham Athletic at Boundary Park.<\/p>\n

Peter Jackson’s in-form side led 2-0 at half time through Danny Schofield’s 27th minute strike and Gary Taylor-Fletcher’s effort on 37.<\/p>\n

Taylor-Fletcher confirmed The Terriers’superiority a quarter of an hour from time.<\/p>\n

Yeovil moved off the bottom of the table after coming from behind to beat Walsall 2-1 at Huish Park.<\/p>\n

Matt Fryatt’s first half penalty had given The Saddlers a first half lead but two goals in five second half minutes from Phil Jevons (65) and Kevin Gall (70) completed the turnaround.<\/p>\n

Martin Scott’s Hartlepool were another side who came from behind to record victory, with their success coming at the expense of Colin Hendry’s Blackpool.<\/p>\n

After a goalless first half at Bloomfield Road,Tommy Wright’s 70th minute strike had appeared to set Blackpool on the road to victory but Anthony Sweeney’s 86th minute equaliser and Steven Istead’s injury time winner left The Pools jubilant.<\/p>\n

Gary Megson’sordeal at Nottingham Forest continued ashis side slipped to a 2-0 defeat at Barnsley.<\/p>\n

Chris Shuker’s goal shortly after the restart added to Barry Conlon’s effort four minutesbefore the break.<\/p>\n

Two struggling sides met at Layer Road with Colchester recording a 3-2 success over Dave Penney’s Doncaster.<\/p>\n

Two early goals from Chris Iwelumo for Colchester and Jonathan Forte for Doncaster saw the scores level.<\/p>\n

The tide turned, however, in comical fashion with Colchester profiting from a brace of own goals from Doncaster defenders Sean McDaid and Steve Foster within four minutes of each other just before the half hour.<\/p>\n

Roy McFarland’s Chesterfield side registered their first Saltergate victory of the new campaign with a resounding 3-0 success over Bournemouth.<\/p>\n

Goals from Colin Larkin (27), Wayne Allison (53) and Shane Nicholson (69) wrapped up the points for the Derbyshire outfit.<\/p>\n

Rotherham beat Gillingham by the same scoreline with Paul McLaren giving the home side the lead in the 46th minute.<\/p>\n

Late goals from Deon Burton and Martin Butler put the shine on an excellent day for Mick Harford’s side.<\/p>\n

Southend recorded a 2-1 win over strugglingSwindon at The County Ground with an early Adam Barrett goal added to byWayne Gray’s strike on 88.<\/p>\n
