Huddersfield climb into second at the expense of Brentford after a dramatic 3-2 win over Martin Allen’s side at the Galpharm Stadium. <\/p>\n

A lively encounter saw an incredible climax after both sides had a man sent off. <\/p>\n

Brentford opened the scoring on 23 minutes through Isaiah Rankin but the prolific Pawel Abbott levelled matters just past the half hour mark with his eighth of the season. <\/p>\n

DJ Campbell then grabbed what looked to be the decisive goal just a minute after the break and when Tom Clarke was sent off for the hosts the Londoners looked odds on for maximum points. <\/p>\n

But the dismissal of Andrew Frampton gave Huddersfield renewed hope and they capitalised fully with Danny Schofield equalising a minute from time and Andy Booth netting a late, late winner. <\/p>\n

Southend continued their fine start to the season with a 3-1 win over Tranmere. James Lawson opened the scoring for the Shrimpers and Shaun Goater doubled the lead from the penalty spot on 33 minutes. <\/p>\n

Delroy Facey brought Tranmere back into the game a minute after the interval, but Goater’s second eight minutes from time killed the contest. <\/p>\n

Doncaster grabbed a much-needed victory over high-flying Scunthorpe, Lee Fortune-West, Michael McIndoe and Jonathan Forte were on the scoresheet for Rovers with Billy Sharp replying for The Iron. <\/p>\n

Barnsley moved into sixth despite being held to a goalless draw at lowly Milton Keynes Dons. <\/p>\n

Rotherham and Port Vale both lost ground on the pace-setters after defeats to Nottingham Forest and Colchester respectively. <\/p>\n

Goals from Jack Lester (penalty) and a stunning long-range effort from Kris Commons sunk Rotherham at the City Ground, while Vale were sunk at home by Chris Iwelumo’s solitary strike. <\/p>\n

A James Hayter double gave Bournemouth a 2-1 home win over Swindon with Steve Jenkins netting for the visitors. <\/p>\n

Oldham ended a win of five games without a win by edging out Gillingham at the Priestfield Stadium courtesy of Chris Killen’s early strike. <\/p>\n

Bradford shared the spoils with Yeovil with Ben Muirhead cancelling out Terry Skiverton’s early strike. <\/p>\n

Chesterfield staged a great second half fight-back to see off Walsall at the Bescot having found themselves two goals down at the break. <\/p>\n

Goals from Jorge Leitao and Mark Wright seemed to have put Paul Merson’s side in control, but a brace from Mark Allott levelled matters before Wayne Allison popped up with a winner 13 minutes from time. <\/p>\n

Troubled Bristol City looked to have got a much-needed win under their belts when David Cotterill scored five minutes from time against Blackpool, but Matthew Blinkhorn heaped more misery on the Robins with an injury-time equaliser. <\/p>\n
