Hundreds of fans across the network responded to the request to rate some of the clubs in various categories ranging from best pies right through to their very own League One player of the season. And it was some good results for the Swans as they picked up three ‘top of class’ awards in the category of Best Stadium, Best Programme and Best Mascot.<\/p>\n

In the stadium category, the Liberty Stadium was voted the best stadium in the division by one in three voters – more than 10% clear of the Galpharm Stadium and more than double the third placed ground – the City Ground in Nottingham<\/p>\n

Swansea’s larger than life matchday programme was also a category winner with 23.5% of the vote, more than double the second placed total which was provided by Blackpool’s programme.<\/p>\n

And Cyril the Swan made it a hat-trick for the Swans when he was voted best mascot ahead of Rover the Dog – Cyril being another one who scooped twice the vote of his nearest place rival.<\/p>\n

There was also top five finishes for the Swans in the following categories<\/p>\n

Best Day Out (3rd place) Best Fans (2nd) Best Half Time Entertainment (5th) Best Team (3rd) Best Stewards (4th)<\/p>\n

Whilst Lee Trundle was runner up to Freddy Eastwood in the category of best player in the division for last season.<\/p>\n
