{"id":14059,"date":"2006-12-06T00:01:00","date_gmt":"2006-12-06T00:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.staging28.planetswans.co.uk\/?p=14059"},"modified":"2020-12-06T08:40:23","modified_gmt":"2020-12-06T08:40:23","slug":"we-didnt-turn-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jackarmy.net\/wp67\/2006\/12\/06\/we-didnt-turn-up\/","title":{"rendered":"We Didn&#8217;t Turn Up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kenny Jackett wasn&#8217;t hiding his disappointment at the Swans lacklustre display at Brighton last night as he moaned after the game that the real Swansea City didn&#8217;t turn up.<\/p>\n<p>The Swans slipped to a 3-2 defeat against an injury struck Brighton side and the scoreline only had half a degree of respectability about it because of a late strike from Rory Fallon which halved the deficit. There was to be no heroics from Fallon though as he missed a second chance in stoppage time which would have snatched a point from the jaws of defeat &#8211; Fallon blazing over when seemingly well set<\/p>\n<p>&#8221;Rory had a very good chance &#8211; the ball dropped on his left foot and it looked as though it might have been an open goal in front of him,&#8221; Jackett said. &#8221;But I would never have a go at anybody for missing a chance. We were below par from start to finish, there&#8217;s no doubt about that, and although Rory felt he should have scored I would not knock him. &#8221;We never really got going on a night when the game was there for us. We had plenty of possession and territorial advantage but were unable to break Brighton down. &#8221;Despite that we got ourselves back into it at 1-1 and then went and conceded two goals from set-pieces.
