DORUS READY FOR FOREST<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Seven days back Dorus De Vries was a man who conceded in the first couple of minutes of his competitive Swansea debut. A harsh penalty against the Swans was converted and the first goal against him was in place.<\/p>\n

A last minute winner then compounded the misery after the Swans had pretty much dominated in between. But a clean sheet against Walsall in midweek has left the Dutch stopper ready today for the challenge of facing promotion favourites Nottingham Forest at the Liberty Stadium.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the Western Mail he reveals how he has looked forward to this game since the fixtures were announced back in June “This is definitely one of the games that excited me when I joined,” he said. “They are one of the top clubs in the league and, in the history of English football, they are a massive club.<\/p>\n

“Nottingham Forest are going for the title and they have a good squad, so naturally I’m going to have a busy day.<\/p>\n

“But I’m looking forward to it. We have a really good side ourselves and it should be a decent clash.”<\/p>\n

The Swans and Forest were instilled as two of the main favourites for promotion this season – more so when Leeds found themselves deducted 15 points for their financial irregularities. But neither side had the start that they wanted – Forest were being held at home whilst the Swans were being agonisingly beaten by Oldham. But both will look to bounce back this afternoon and try to steal a march on the other which will make for an interesting afternoon’s watching<\/p>\n

“The penalty was a nice welcome to League One on my debut,” he said.<\/p>\n

“Of course you dream of a clean sheet, but after one minute that dream was gone.<\/p>\n

“You just have to look at other games and we have a good enough squad that, as a goalie, I’m hopeful of getting a lot of clean sheets.<\/p>\n

“Getting one against Forest will make up for Oldham. That will be a nice one.<\/p>\n

“I always enjoy it when you get stick from fans. It keeps you sharp and I just see it as a good thing because it means you are one of the better players in the squad.<\/p>\n

“It never works with me and I have to say, on the other side, the Swans fans are amazing as well. They were class in Oldham and it was a good experience for me.<\/p>\n

“The Liberty looked great half-full against Walsall and hopefully it will be packed against Forest. It’s going to be amazing and I think it’s going to be a good day for the fans.”<\/p>\n
