Meet The Ref – Carlisle<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Friday’s referee is Clive Penton from Sussex; he became a Football League referee in 2001 and last season he issued nearly 4 Yellow cards per game, but only sent off 4 players.<\/p>\n

Clive Penton needs no introduction to Swans fans; he refereed our game against Bristol City away in January 2006 – we lost 1-0 but he booked 7 Swans players and sent off Tom Williams in that game.<\/p>\n

But he has taken charge of 4 games since and hasn’t been as bad since, though he can tend to be very fussy referee and does often book every foul and we’ve only won 2 games out the 12 he’s refereed in.<\/p>\n
