As his new team mates prepare to face his former club, Way knows that the long wait is almost over as he looks to kick start a Swansea career that has gone nowhere since Kenny Jackett paid \u00c2\u00a3150,000 for his services back in January 2006 – a signing that was hailed as one of the better ones of that January spending spree.<\/p>\n
However, sightings of Way in a Swansea shirt have been rarer than Wales qualifying for major Championships after setback after setback has kept Way out of the fold and on the sidelines.<\/p>\n
But with just a minor injury to now shake off before staking his claim, Way is still looking forward to a trip back to his old club even if he will just be one of many Jacks there as spectators. Speaking via the club’s official website, Way said “They are our bogey team but this is a new era for Swansea City and hopefully things will change on Saturday.<\/p>\n
“Games between the two clubs are always tight, but Yeovil have always tended to edge it at their place. But with the way we are playing, I’m confident we can go there and do a job this time.”<\/p>\n
Way also paid tribute to Yeovil manager Russell Slade, adding: “He has done a fantastic job down there, especially last season.<\/p>\n
“He has obviously got a good eye for players and does well to attract them to Yeovil. It’s a great family club and players like Terry Skiverton are key to keeping the club moving forward.<\/p>\n
“I’m looking forward to going back there, even if it’s just as a spectator, and I suppose I’ll have to answer the thousand questions again as to why I’m not playing!”<\/p>\n
