And Monk believes that the Swans now owe their fans a Liberty win after collecting just 9 points from the 21 available so far this season.<\/p>\n
Speaking to the Evening Post, Monk said ”We shot ourselves in the foot again against Huddersfield<\/p>\n
”I thought they were the worst side to come down here this season.<\/p>\n
”Other teams have at least looked to try to get a goal on the break, but Huddersfield didn’t look to do anything and it was a massive disappointment to come away with nothing.<\/p>\n
”Right from the off they were just aiming for a draw, but we lost concentration for a split-second and gifted them a goal.<\/p>\n
”They offered absolutely nothing apart from the goal and we lost the game. They didn’t win it.<\/p>\n
”It’s hugely frustrating, for us as well as the fans, but we owe definitely owe them one now.’<\/p>\n
”We’re having a lot of joy on the road and long may that continue,” he added.<\/p>\n
”But the Liberty is our home. We want to impress there and we want to win games there because that’s what’s required to win promotion.<\/p>\n
”I don’t think we’re playing that badly at home, but we have got to adapt to the way sides are playing against us.<\/p>\n
”We have to dust ourselves down, keep believing in ourselves and make sure we bounce back from the Huddersfield defeat.”<\/p>\n
And with reference to the goal that wasn’t?<\/p>\n
”The ref said I pushed him, but all I did was something we do in training every day,” he said.<\/p>\n
