Pearson told the local Derby shitstirrer "The goal-posts have moved – the price has gone up and we are not prepared to pay it. This is not acceptable. We will not be held to ransom.<\/p>\n
"We have formally withdrawn our offer and will watch the situation. It is disappointing because negotiations have been going on for a long time. We felt a deal could be done and the player has said he wants to come to Derby County."<\/p>\n
I’m sure Mr Pearson felt that a deal could have been done as did Swansea but clearly the deal at this moment in time is in differing positions. Hey such is business Adam, never mind by the time you get to club number 4 on your list you may realise that?<\/p>\n
Ironically in today’s Evening Post Pearson’s more subtle counterpart said "This situation needs to be resolved sooner rather than later," said Jenkins.<\/p>\n
