Roberto Martinez has sent a defiant message to Derby County with his "I am not resigned to losing him" statement concerning Ferrie Bodde.<\/p>\n
Bodde expressed a strong desire to head to Pride Park this week as they pulled out of the 'race' to sign the player. The race has only ever been one horse to date with interest from Middlesbrough and West Brom proving to be, so far, nothing more than paper talk.<\/p>\n
And with Bodde's outburst it seemed that links with Swansea would become impossible any more with his criticism of the club's handling of the saga as well as his strong desire to continue his career in the East Midlands.<\/p>\n
But Martinez will take Bodde to Sweden this week and told the News of the World "As far as I am concerned he is OUR<\/strong> player. If he's still with us next season that won't be a problem for me – as long as he proves he's hungry to play for Swansea CIty.<\/p>\n "He's had a lot of distractions but I'd rather have any distractions now in pre-season than later on.<\/p>\n "I won't hold anything against Ferrie.
