{"id":15165,"date":"2008-07-27T20:20:00","date_gmt":"2008-07-27T20:20:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.staging28.planetswans.co.uk\/?p=15165"},"modified":"2020-09-22T11:26:01","modified_gmt":"2020-09-22T11:26:01","slug":"orlandi-goal-gives-swans-another-victory","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jackarmy.net\/wp67\/2008\/07\/27\/orlandi-goal-gives-swans-another-victory\/","title":{"rendered":"Orlandi Goal Gives Swans Another Victory"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Swansea<\/strong><strong> City<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> de Vries, Tate, Painter, Monk &copy;, Williams, Britton, Tudur Jones, Pratley, MacDonald, Orlandi, Pintado.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Palamos CF:<\/strong> Toni Montero, Elies, Giro, Garagarza, Petalla, Carmelo, Vichu, Diego, Pinilla, Teixidor, Jaume Duran. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Goals: <\/strong>Orlandi (47)<\/p>\n<p><strong>MySwans.co.uk:<\/strong>&nbsp; Andrea Orlandi scored his first goal in Swansea colours as Roberto Martinez&#39;s side won for the second time on their tour of Spain.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Orlandi struck just after the interval as Swansea battled to victory ahead of their clash with Barcelona B on Monday night.<\/p>\n<p>Martinez shuffled his pack once more as the race for places against Charlton in their first Championship game of the season continued.<\/p>\n<p>Garry Monk and Ashley Williams were paired together at the heart of defence, which could be the unit selected at The Valley a week on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Sloppy handling from Dorus de Vries almost presented the hosts with an opening inside the first 10 minutes but Alan Tate was on hand to hack the ball to safety.<\/p>\n<p>Swansea responded, Leon Britton sliding a pass through for Pintado to shoot straight at the goalkeeper.<\/p>\n<p>Owain Tudur Jones, impressive once again at the heart of midfield, laid on a chance for Orlandi when he robbed Texidor 25 yards from goal and flicked the ball forward with the outside of his right boot.<\/p>\n<p>Orlandi did everything right, taking a touch to set himself before firing in a low shot which ricocheted off the inside of the post and rolled across goal to safety.<\/p>\n<p>Within two minutes of the restart, Swansea finally had something to celebrate.<\/p>\n<p>Tudur Jones stuck out one of his legs to help the ball out left to Orlandi and the winger did the rest.<\/p>\n<p>Orlandi brought the ball down before crashing a left-foot shot into the top corner of the net from 15 yards.<\/p>\n<p>The goal lifted Swansea, and they were spraying the ball about with much more confidence as the contest wore on.Final match against Barcelona B tomorrow evening<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Swansea City: de Vries, Tate, Painter, Monk &copy;, Williams, Britton, Tudur Jones, Pratley, MacDonald, Orlandi, Pintado.
