And Orlandi seems to be reasonably near the front of that selection process after Roberto declared yesterday that the player had the best left foot in the Championship: “I’m not so sure about that one,” he told the Western Mail<\/p>\n
“But, of course, it’s a great compliment. I’ve been very grateful to the gaffer because he’s talked highly of me for a while, even though I haven’t been able to show as much on the pitch because of injury.<\/p>\n
“It’s good to get that kind of support from your manager and I just hope I can help play a part in his plans.<\/p>\n
“I think I have done okay, but it is not because I am back in Spain and wanting to impress at home, it is simply because I am feeling ready.<\/p>\n
“I think the whole team is ready for a big challenge this season, against big clubs, many of who are potential Premier League teams. I know what’s needed and now I can’t wait to get started.”<\/p>\n
