Bessone was stretchered off during the Swans 2-0 victory over Brentford in the Carling Cup amid fears that he had broken some ribs.<\/p>\n
He immediately signalled to the bench and after a couple of minutes of treatment he was stretchered from the pitch to be replaced by Angel Rangel – an unhappy end to his competitive Swansea debut.<\/p>\n
But after an initial assessment Roberto revealed that the injury may not be as bad as they first feared although that was not totally confirmed.<\/p>\n
Roberto told the official site "It doesn't seem as bad as we first thought<\/p>\n
"We feared he'd broken his ribs because Fede said he heard a crack. But after the doctors assessed him in the treatment room, we think it's just badly bruised.<\/p>\n
"We'll have to wait for confirmation from the hospital, but hopefully he'll be fine.''<\/p>\n
