“I was very happy with the performance<\/p>\n
“We knew that beforehand both teams had a few players missing and that would stretch and test the squads, and to test your squad against the league leaders and a team like Wolverhampton it was going to be a huge challenge.<\/p>\n
“I was delighted with the way we defended and being able to soak up the pressure that Wolves put us under and continued to play our football on top.<\/p>\n
“They kept going and never died out of the game, they have a huge attacking power and we had to defend until the last second.<\/p>\n
“At the back of seven games in 21 days I thought we put our players in a huge demanding situation and they reacted with their normal football with clinical attacking play.<\/p>\n
“Overall I think that was a complete performance from the first minute to the last. With the amount of chances we created and the goals that we were able to score I thought that it was a very pleasing afternoon.<\/p>\n
“It was a difficult decision for the linesman.” he said in reference to Gower’s disallowed goal. “Jordi Gomez was in an onside position, Mark Gower comes inside and strikes the ball and Jordi touches it and perhaps that helped it hit the back of the net.<\/p>\n
“It’s unfortunate because I thought it should have been allowed.<\/p>\n
“We knew that Wolves were going to put us under a lot of pressure and make us defend, and we had to be ready for that,” added Roberto.<\/p>\n
