Bessone was widely criticsed during the Swans defeat at Reading last month but bounced back on Tuesday night with an impressive display against Wolves despite the team going down to a 2-1 defeat.<\/p>\n
Bessone claimed an assist in Darren Pratley’s goal and will once again this afternoon link up with Mark Gower as the Swans look to return to winning ways against Doncaster this afternoon.<\/p>\n
And the summer capture is grateful to have gained this chance even if it is at the expense of the unfortunate Painter who is unlikely to feature again this season.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is sad when you have an injury to a player, but I had things I needed to fix because the last game I played was not my best performance,\u201d Bessone told today’s Western Mail.<\/p>\n
\u201cMaybe last time I had the opportunity I was not at my best, not at my most confident. But now I feel totally ready. I know what the team needs from me.<\/p>\n
\u201cI know what the manager needs from me and now I would like to get a run of games and to keep my standards improving.<\/p>\n
\u201cI want to show what I can do for my side.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt has been hard to adapt here a little. It is very direct football and I am not completely used to that<\/p>\n
\u201cBut the standards have not been a surprise because I have cone from the second division in Spain where the level is also quite good.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have seen two or three sides so far who like to play the ball like us, but the other teams are a bit physical.<\/p>\n
\u201cI do feel that Swansea can be up there fighting to be in the top six.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe were better than Wolves and we really could have won the game. The only reason we did not win was because we did not take our chances\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cDoncaster will be a difficult game as they need to win.<\/p>\n
