The Swansea City manager insists that it is a case of keeping the good form going but at the same time knows that he won’t want his side to be on the wrong end of a second consecutive defeat at the Ricoh Arena.<\/p>\n
He is backed by a statistic that the Swans are let to lose two consecutive league games under his management – well, in the same season anyway – and that is a record that they will be looking to keep going this evening as they try once again to break into the division’s top six.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was delighted with our performance against Birmingham,\u201d Martinez told the Western Mail.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe result could have been a lot different if we had been a bit more clinical.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe had them against the ropes, we were the better side overall in every department and the result sometimes is just a circumstance.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou have an ex-international striker like Kevin Phillips then who only seems to need one chance to score two goals!<\/p>\n
\u201cIn my eyes it was not a defeat. Our performance was enough for me to take something positive from it.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt will be a completely different game. We are away from home in a fantastic arena,\u201d said Martinez.<\/p>\n
\u201cCoventry are coming in off the back of a very good result and their confidence will be high.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe need to be ready and we are desperate to go there and get rid of that bad feeling we had on Friday night.<\/p>\n
\u201cChris is a Swansea boy and he enjoyed his time here and that will never go away,\u201d added Martinez.<\/p>\n
