The former Swansea City striker has played very much a bit part role at Ashton Gate almost since his move from the Liberty almost eighteen months ago.<\/p>\n
It has been a stop start career since the million pound move although he did feature in most of the Wurzel’s play off games last season when they almost reached the promised land of the Premiership.<\/p>\n
He has started just four games this season and has just two goals to his credit from his total appearances this term taking his Bristol City total to 8 from 55 appearances of which almost half have been as a substitute.<\/p>\n
But Trundle could come into the reckoning for Saturday because of injuries to Stern John and Dele Adebola who both missed training on Monday.<\/p>\n
Trundle told the Bristol Evening Post: “I would love to be involved against my old club. It’s been difficult for me this season, but I’m hoping to play some part on Saturday.<\/p>\n
“I had four great seasons with Swansea and never really had a chance to say goodbye to the fans.<\/p>\n
“Hopefully, I’ll play on Saturday and have to chance to do things properly.”<\/p>\n
City boss Gary Johnson confirmed: “Neither Dele or Stern trained on Monday and we’re monitoring their progress.<\/p>\n
“It’s too early to say whether or not they’ll be OK for Swansea. We’ll know a lot more later in the week.”<\/p>\n
He added: “Stern has a problem with his ankle and that’s why we didn’t risk him at Preston, while Dele went off with a dead leg.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
