The former Swansea City boss was speaking to the Western Mail about his replacement’s chances\u00a0of making the play offs this season.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think they can make the play-offs,\u201d said Jackett, who left the Swansea hotseat in February 2007.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey\u2019re within touching distance of the top six and they\u2019ve got great momentum as a club.<\/p>\n
\u201cTheir home record is strong as well.<\/p>\n
\u201cLooking at the other two \u2013 Nottingham Forest and Doncaster \u2013 who went up with them, shows you how well Swansea have done.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe support is very passionate and not unlike Millwall in that way.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen you\u2019re going well they\u2019re right behind you at home and like a 12th man.<\/p>\n
\u201cBodde played very well against us last season, he was excellent and any club would miss someone as good as him,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut Roberto\u2019s signed very, very well and added to the squad. It looks strong overall.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jackett was also keen to talk up his own side’s chances of success this term – Millwall currently lie 2nd in League One, two points beind leaders Leicester City.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve set some really high standards in the first half of the season and it\u2019s up to us now to maintain that,\u201d said Jackett.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve got to go for promotion now.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve worked very hard to get ourselves in this position and it\u2019s a lot better being at this end of the league than where we were last year or the year before.<\/p>\n
