A lethal challenge from Brett Poate effectively ended Orlandi’s season although he did play a week later against Brighton and he was a spectator as the Swans crashed out in the replay against Havant and Waterlooville.<\/p>\n
Now in line for a starting place on Saturday, Orlandi is ready to forget about the past and concentrate on kick starting his Swans career.<\/p>\n
Orlandi has made just four of his nineteen Swans appearances during the course of this season and it seems that is going to become five on Saturday when the Swans take on the non league side.<\/p>\n
Speaking to the Western Mail, Orlandi said \u201cIt’s a year on from that tackle now and I\u2019m just trying hard not to think about it,\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m looking forward to the game and I just want to forget about the injury. I\u2019m not worried about the same happening again. I was fine against Billericay and Horsham last year and I am just focussed on doing my best against Histon.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese teams are always tough to play against and I know they will be very physical. It doesn\u2019t help that the pitch will be a lot worse than the ones we are used to as well.\u201d<\/p>\n
He continued: \u201cI\u2019m really looking forward to the FA Cup, though, because I need to play more games to get my fitness right. I\u2019m on the bench now, but Histon will be a great chance for me to start a game. I\u2019m nearly there now and I feel really good.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve been unlucky with injuries, my time in Swansea has been really stop-start and I just hope my luck has changed.<\/p>\n
\u201cI need more games so that I can get my confidence back and start playing better. Hopefully that will start at Histon.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve tried to explain to Jordi and Gorka about it (FA Cup games at non league grounds) the way the crowd will be so close and constantly insulting us. It will be tough for them, but they are playing regularly against great teams in the Championship and they will be ready for it.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey know how important it is as well. I\u2019ve told them the FA Cup is the most important club competition in the world.<\/p>\n
\u201cI just hope we stay in it for a bit longer. We were all a bit disappointed about the Carling Cup this season because we had a great chance that we didn\u2019t take and we want to make up for it.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added: \u201cHiston is going to be a difficult game, though. Their ground will be a tough place for us to visit and the crowd won\u2019t make it easy.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s OK, though, because it\u2019s their big chance to beat us and we just have to be ready.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe know how special this cup is to the people in England,\u201d he beamed. \u201cWe have the Copa del Rey in Spain and it\u2019s quite similar, but the FA Cup is definitely more popular.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn Spain there are only three leagues in it. But it\u2019s great that over here teams from any league can play against the very best.\u201d<\/p>\n
He continued: \u201cI don\u2019t know anything about Histon. All I know is that it will be a small pitch with a lot of fans close to us.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe boys have tried to tell us what to expect. But I just have to wait until the weekend to see what it is really like.<\/p>\n
