Adams will be planning the downfall of Swansea City on the weekend having negotiated the hurdle of Bristol City in the last round of the competition.<\/p>\n
Adams added his name to the ever growing list of managers who have praised the Swans and the way they play football over the last 18 months or so.<\/p>\n
Speaking ahead of the game on Saturday, Adams said \u201cIt seems like we\u2019ve played half the Championship in the cup over the last year so we know we\u2019re in for a difficult game<\/p>\n
\u201cWe had Bristol in the last round and we\u2019ve probably got an even better team now.<\/p>\n
\u201cSwansea play a 4-3-3 very well. Little Leon Britton is an ex-West Ham player, and they\u2019ve got Darren Pratley from Fulham \u2013 good little players there who know how to play their system and know how to pass the ball.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey\u2019re a good outfit, who pass the ball very well and have lots of possession.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd, hopefully, we won\u2019t get frustrated by the amount of possession Swansea have, because they will have plenty because they can pass it .<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s my fear, that we\u2019ll be all getting frustrated because the fans will be demanding that we turn them over easily.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut this is by no means an easy game for us \u2013 they are a good side.<\/p>\n
\u201cI love the way Roberto\u2019s team play and I love the way he encourages his players to get the ball down and play,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo it will be tough for us. They beat Reading at the weekend and they play their system very well, pass the ball, keep possession.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd there is a tendency to go and chase them \u2013 but that\u2019s not a good thing to do. So we\u2019ve got to be a bit patient.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe goalkeeper has been exceptional in the last two games and Sol Campbell has hit a bit of form and we have had players coming back,\u201d he said. \u201cBut I\u2019m pleased with the way things have been going.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve told them we need to be resilient. I don\u2019t use stats like not conceding in the cup as a motivational too, I simply tell them to be resilient. When we debrief we look to see if we\u2019ve achieved that.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe game against Tottenham was open, which is a little bit worrying, but, with the personnel we\u2019ve got, it\u2019s difficult to get that balance. But we are working every day to make sure we can be tough to beat.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
