Ricketts spent a couple of seasons at Swansea City before leaving shortly after the play off final for Hull who are now enjoying themselves in the Premier League.<\/p>\n
And having seen his new team mates fall to the Swans earlier this season in the Carling Cup, he is backing them to add another shock to a growing list when they head to Fulham on Tuesday for their 5th Round replay.<\/p>\n
And should the Swans succeed they will get the chance to pit their wits against the biggest of all with Manchester United on March 7th the prize for the winners.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Wales on Sunday, Ricketts said \u201cI watched the game with Fulham the other day and they did really well.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd they were so unlucky not to actually win the game after they hit a post and conceded a fluke goal.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut they will go to Fulham and they won\u2019t hold back because they will be full of confidence.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey have the knowledge that if they play at their best they have a great chance of going through.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey know it will be a battle but they\u2019ve shown they play so well to their strengths and have been very successful with it.<\/p>\n
\u201cPeople have talked about how Hull have come up through the leagues.<\/p>\n
\u201cWell, Swansea have a few players who were there with me in League Two, and there\u2019s no reason that they couldn\u2019t do the same if they keep playing as well as they do as a unit.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s surprised me a little bit the way they\u2019ve dominated games so much.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a tough league where it could have been difficult to utilise their passing game.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut they\u2019ve done it and done it well. It\u2019s great to see and good for football that it\u2019s working.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe (Garry Monk) was so unlucky with that but there was nothing he could do about it.<\/p>\n
