The Swansea City midfielder was speaking on the eve of the Swans game against Norwich and less than a week after he opened his goalscoring account with what he thought was to be a winning goal at Ninian Park.<\/p>\n
That wasn't to be but Allen is just glad to be off the mark and he said “I went from absolute elation to despair in just a couple of minutes at Cardiff<\/p>\n
“The high of scoring was fantastic. You could see how much it meant to the supporters, but we were brought back down to earth with the penalty decision.<\/p>\n
“The goal has been a long time coming. I’ve never been that much of a goal scorer, so it’s really nice to chip in. It’s something that I need to add to my game.<\/p>\n
“Until it’s mathematically impossible that we can’t make it, we’re going to keep going,” Allen said.<\/p>\n
“Every game we’re going to keep playing. We’re going to try to make it. That’s our focus for the remainder of season.<\/p>\n
“The performance at Cardiff was decent and we’re going to try to remain positive and use that when we face Norwich.<\/p>\n
“We have to keep the possibility of reaching the play-offs alive in our performances and pick up maximum points.<\/p>\n
“ We haven’t had a game at home for a while and I think it’s what the players and supporters need. We have to play our style of game. We’ve got the ability and have to show the quality to rise above them.”<\/p>\n
