Arriving from Manchester United late in 2002, Tate played a major part in the Swans battle against relegation from the league and eventually signed a permanent deal in 2004 after a further loan spell late in 2003.<\/p>\n
His versatility has seen him play at centre back, midfield, right back and of course as a goalkeeper on two occasions – most recently last season against QPR. <\/p>\n
