Van der Gun’s agent has confirmed that the Swans have made the former Netherlands U-21 player an offer, and they are hopeful that a deal can be pushed through.<\/p>\n
The former Ajax wideman left FC Utrecht earlier this summer after making 52 appearances in 3 seasons for the club, scoring 17 goals.<\/p>\n
Paulo Sousa has been on the lookout for a left winger since arriving at the club and has also been linked with a move for former Fulham and Cardiff man Julian Gray, also a free agent.<\/p>\n
“Cedric is very interested in the move to Swansea,” said Jansen. “They have made an offer and we are currently negotiating.<\/p>\n
“It’s not finalised yet, but I am hopeful it can go through. The player is willing to join Swansea, but they have to get the deal right.<\/p>\n
“They are not far off. We are just waiting to hear back from them.<\/p>\n
