That’s why I was brought in and I want to show I can still do a job for this club.

“Scoring goals is what I do best. Obviously it didn’t work out at Bristol, but my confidence has really grown again being back at Swansea and, the sooner I can get back on the pitch regularly, the goals will come with it.

“If the strikers can start getting some goals we will definitely start moving up the table pretty quickly.

“With the players returning from injury and suspension there is a lot of quality coming back into the team.

“We can build on that and the goals will start coming.

“It will be nice to get back playing again, I started the game at Preston and now I just want to push on from that.

“All I can do is keep training hard and hopefully get some starts. That’s what I need, a few games under my belt to help me settle in.

“I know I have to work harder than ever and it’s been a conscious effort. This is like a trial for me basically and I need to impress everybody.

“It doesn’t matter what I have done here in the past.

“That counts for nothing because I need to do a job for the team now.

“I have been working hard on my fitness and other parts of my game because, while I know this is a loan, I want it to become a permanent deal."

SOURCE: http://www.walesonline.co.uk/footballnation/swansea-city-fc/2009/09/19/trundle-aiming-to-solve-swansea-goals-riddle-91466-24727485/

3 goals in 7 league games have left the Swans as the lowest scorers in the division with no goals coming from outside their defence to date this season league wise – Ashley Williams having 2 to his credit and Alan Tate 1.
