Roberts told the Western Mail \u201cThe shame for me is that officially he hasn\u2019t played since last Christmas and that can\u2019t be good for his development<\/p>\n
\u201cThat is my only concern because for all the rights and wrongs of the situation, there is a 15-year-old lad in the middle of it.<\/p>\n
\u201cI only hope his progression hasn\u2019t been affected by all this.<\/p>\n
\u201cHopefully the both clubs can come to an agreement and it can all be put to bed.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou can see why they are standing their ground because they have invested in young players,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey will want to be rewarded if they are going to lose them.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou are not going to stop bigger clubs attracting the best players, but the clubs who invest in these boys should be compensated at the appropriate level.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt would be the same if Swansea were to take a player off a club like Carmarthen in the Welsh Premier.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt works both ways.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut as always the most important thing in these situations has to be the player.\u201d<\/p>\n
