Since then, the 19 year old has started just a single game – at home to Bristol City – but could be fit enough to travel to Portman Road next week.<\/p>\n
“Obviously, being a Manchester United fan, Roy Keane is one of my favourite players of all time,” said Allen.<\/p>\n
“It would be great to play in a game that he is involved in and hopefully I can prove I’m fit to travel.”Keane is a legend. He’s one of the best midfielders I’ve ever seen and it would be nice to meet him maybe.”He was a great player, one of my favourites, but obviously come next week I’m hoping I’ll be the one on the winning team.<\/p>\n
“It’s been disappointing.<\/p>\n
“I have only played a total of about 90 minutes and we’re 11 league games into the season.<\/p>\n
“That’s frustrating, especially because things were looking good for me in pre-season.<\/p>\n
“Now I’ve got a fight on my hands to get back in amongst the matchday squad, but there are still plenty of games to go so hopefully I will get plenty of opportunities.<\/p>\n
“Without being too technical, it’s not just a simple hamstring strain.<\/p>\n
“There’s a bit more to it than that and that’s why it has been a recurring problem, but this time I think we’ve got to the bottom of it and I’m responding well to treatment.<\/p>\n
“As players we were disappointed with results at the start of the season but we always felt we had too much ability for things not to turn round,” he said.<\/p>\n
