Dyer was a Swansea City scorer when the two sides last met at Ninian Park back in April and admits that when the bus pulled into Cardiff on that day it was a real eye opener for him.<\/p>\n
Dyer had previously played in a Sheffield derby and also in a Southampton-Portsmouth game but had experienced nothing like the Welsh derby as he told the Evening Post “This is the worst derby I’ve been involved in \u2014 the hatred between the teams is massive<\/p>\n
“When the bus pulled into Cardiff it was a real eye-opener.<\/p>\n
“I’ve been in the Sheffield derby and the Southampton-Portsmouth game too, but this was on a different scale.<\/p>\n
“On the pitch you can see the hatred of Swansea in the fans’ eyes.<\/p>\n
“It will be great to shut the Cardiff fans up, though, and win the game.<\/p>\n
“It would be awesome to keep the run going<\/p>\n
“It means a lot to the players, but I also realise what it means to the supporters.<\/p>\n
“Our fans have had the bragging rights over Cardiff for a long time now and we want to keep that going.<\/p>\n
“It should be an explosive, high-tempo match with an intense atmosphere. But we are the better footballing side and we are going to come out fighting and show no-one can take us lightly.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
