The Swansea City midfielder was as happy as the rest of the squad that they had shown the character and conviction to bounce back from the disappointment of giving up their early two goal advantage.<\/p>\n
And Britton said that the transformation came from a calm dressing room at half time where they went back to the original game plan – eventually getting their rewards with Darren Pratley’s winner.<\/p>\n
Speaking to the Western Mail after the game, Britton said \u201cThe gaffer is very passionate, and he urges us to show our own passion<\/p>\n
\u201cHe wants to win every ball, every tackle and every game.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s great to see a manager like that and to have someone with his pedigree to lead us.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s done it in the game as a player and is a proven winner. He has the respect of the players because he\u2019s been there and bought the T-shirt.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt 2-0 up after 20 minutes, we looked like we were cruising,\u201d said the 27-year-old.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo to concede two goals in quick succession was a blow. We could have caved in and let Cardiff take over.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo at half-time, we told ourselves to get back to playing football. We said, \u2018Look, let\u2019s get the ball down and get passing again. If we do that, we\u2019ll cause them trouble.'”<\/p>\n
Britton also revealed that he and Jay Bothroyd had a laugh pre kick off regards the comments by the Cardiff man in the lead up to the game with Britton adding \u201cWe were just laughing about it.<\/p>\n
\u201cJay just said that some comments had been made. He smiled and said that a couple of our players had bitten.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was only banter, though. We took it well and just got on with it.\u201d<\/p>\n
