The Swansea City manager watched his team secure a derby victory in front of a full house of home fans on Saturday and asked them to remain behind the team.<\/p>\n
The first sell out of the season watched a pulsating game between the Swans and Cardiff City and Sousa wants more of the same in the coming months after the team’s unbeaten run was extended to ten games.<\/p>\n
Speaking to BBC Sport, Sousa said “We appreciated the way, this time, that our fans supported us<\/p>\n
“I finally saw our fans push us until the end to get the win.<\/p>\n
“I hope in the future that it can be like that against all opponents.<\/p>\n
“To improve our club and improve our team, they have an important task<\/p>\n
“This is what we have to improve. It is a call for more fans as the way they supported us in the derby was important. For us to be a better team and be stronger, they have an important task.<\/p>\n
“It means a lot to all of us and is not just special for us but the fans and the city,” he said.<\/p>\n
“There is a lot of happiness here. We can be proud with ourselves, fans can go to work with more energy and to help the city to grow.<\/p>\n
