And Fallon – now plying his trade at Plymouth – has cited his move to Swansea as pivotal in taking him to this stage.<\/p>\n
He told Wales on Sunday \u201cWithout going to Swansea I don\u2019t think I would ever have got to this World Cup<\/p>\n
\u201cEverything I went through there played a big part in what has happened and, with the way my life is now, it was definitely worth it.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s why I don\u2019t hate Swansea. Without going there I wouldn\u2019t be where I am now.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere was massive pressure on me at Swansea because of my price tag,<\/p>\n
\u201cI think they were expecting Ronaldinho for \u00a3300,000.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut the real problem was my lifestyle outside of football. It disrupted my game and I never really kicked on because my head wasn\u2019t in the right place.<\/p>\n
\u201cI felt I was so far away from God when I was there. I didn\u2019t feel right and I just thought that everything was against me so I needed to get away.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut I\u2019m still so happy I went there because otherwise I would never have met my wife. If I hadn\u2019t met her I would never have come back to God and turned my life around.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe turning point was leaving Swansea. I needed to settle down, set out my stall at Plymouth and just turn my back against the life I was living.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe nightlife and all that wasn\u2019t making me happy. Carly and I were living for the weekend and it wasn\u2019t good.<\/p>\n
\u201cNowadays I don\u2019t really like to talk about it because I have been through it all and that stage of my life is over. Now my focus is on how good God has been to me.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut I\u2019m still not the geeky guy in the corner with my Bible.<\/p>\n
