“It’s a shame because Monday looked like being a really good game against a good, strong Palace side.<\/span><\/p>\n

“But all of a sudden, when we had nearly 19,000 there, the edge was taken off things.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Referees are put under too much pressure these days to make these decisions when what is needed is a bit of common sense.<\/span><\/p>\n

“In situations like we saw on Monday, defenders are going to make challenges to stop people scoring.<\/span><\/p>\n

“If they can’t do that, we might as well stop and see if the striker can beat the keeper.<\/span><\/p>\n
