Newly relegated Boro beat the Swans 3-0 back in August at the Liberty and Tate says the Swans will be out this weekend to correct that wrong when they meet again at the Riverside<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking to the Eveneing Post and looking ahead to the game, Tate said <\/span>“Middlesbrough were very good when they came to our place<\/span><\/p>\n

“But we are a completely different side now compared to what we were then.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We were a team in transition when we played them at home and I think you could tell.<\/span><\/p>\n

“But we have managed to put a good run together and we have come a long way since August.<\/span><\/p>\n

“They had Tuncay coming on as a substitute last time, but he has gone, along with Huth, and it’s a different Boro team as well,” added Tate, who was raised up the road from Middlesbrough in Murton.<\/span><\/p>\n

“A couple of loan players they had, Sean St Ledger and Dave Kitson, have gone as well recently \u2014 although I wouldn’t be surprised if they get a couple of new faces in this week because they have the power to do that.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Who they bring in will be important as far as the top six goes, but they already have a lot of good young players with potential and everything about the club is Premier League.<\/span><\/p>\n

“They have the set-up and the training ground, but maybe the fans need to get behind them a bit more because they are not getting big crowds at home.<\/span><\/p>\n

“If you look at it, we played a Premier League team in the home game,” he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We had a lot of injuries and a lot of young lads involved, but this is a different game.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We have come a long way since then, while Boro have changed, but probably not in the same way as us.”<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
