The Swansea City striker scored his first goal since last March to earn the Swans a victory over Leicester on Saturday – a result that lifted them into 4th place in the Championship table.<\/span><\/p>\n

And as well as his delight for his team mate, Dyer felt that the result was a huge one for the Swans pinpointing the importance of winning a game 1-0 despite maybe not playing at your best.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dyer told the Western Mail \u201cIt was an important win for us against one of our playoff rivals<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThey have been doing well this season and it\u2019s always going to be tough when you play teams in the top six.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cObviously, after losing to them in the cup, it was a bit of revenge as well. But it was more important that we played well and stuck out a 1-0 win, which has been difficult for us.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAll the top teams have to hold on to 1-0 wins, even when they aren\u2019t playing well. I feel we have done that this season. That\u2019s the difference from last season.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt mean a lot to Gorka and we are happy for him.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHe works hard in training and he always plays his heart out for the team when selected. \u201cIt\u2019s good that he got his reward for that. As a striker you want and need goals to get confidence and now he has got that.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
