The Swansea City defender was referring to claims by Giles Barnes that Rangel's clash with him on Tuesday was a penalty and not a dive as insisted by other members of the Swans camp.<\/p>\n
Barnes had said “Every penalty is debated, but he caught me <\/p>\n
“He knows it as well and, if he is honest, he will admit it.<\/p>\n
“I wasn’t surprised it was given.<\/p>\n
“I’m not a diver and he definitely caught me.”<\/p>\n
However, Rangel hit back and insisted “I can 100 per cent say it wasn’t a penalty. <\/p>\n
“Everybody thought the referee was blowing to give him a yellow card for diving.<\/p>\n
“He should be punished, not me.<\/p>\n
“It makes me angry that Barnes is saying it was a penalty.<\/p>\n
“We are not the biggest club and we are fighting against teams with much more money and doing much better than they are,” said Rangel.<\/p>\n
“So it’s devastating when these decisions go against us. It seems like we are moaning about referees the whole time, but we believe we have good reason.<\/p>\n
“We just have to use it to make us stronger. I still believe we will get in the play-offs and defy everyone.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
