The Swansea City striker comes up against another of his former clubs next week looking to help the Swans strengthen their grip on a play off position.<\/p>\n
But he said that should he score he will tone down the celebrations "Ipswich are very close to my heart it's a special club for me.<\/p>\n
"I loved every minute of my time there. I had a close relationship with the fans and they appreciated the way I played.<\/p>\n
"If I score against them I definitely won't celebrate. I will never celebrate if I score against Ipswich.<\/p>\n
"People want to see me to the dive when I score but it won't happen on Saturday. That's my way of showing respect.<\/p>\n
"Whenever I go back to Ipswich I feel really good and relaxed. The place feels like home. I got on so well with the people who worked at the club.<\/p>\n
"My one regret is that I didn't win promotion there. We came close twice – both times we lost in the play offs. <\/p>\n
"As much as I love Ipswich I will be doing everything I can to make sure we win. When you come up against clubs you're attached to you have to put sentiment aside. I've got a job to do for Swansea now and I'll be giving 100 per cent like I always do. I've played against Ipswich four times since I left there but never managed to score against them.<\/p>\n
"If I get the chance on Saturday I won't hesitate to put the ball in the net. They need the points because of where they are – but so do we because we want to stay in the top six.<\/p>\n
"It's a massive surprise to see Ipswich where they are in the table. The club doesn't deserve to be in that position. They're in a relegation fight yet they get crowds of 20,000<\/p>\n
"They spent a lot of money this season. That shows spending money doesn't guarantee success.<\/p>\n
"Sometimes things don't go for you. For some reason your main players don't perform but I think they've got enough to get out of trouble.<\/p>\n
"I left Ipswich on good terms. I had the chance to go to the Premier League and the club didn't stand in my way. The second play off defeat with Ipswich was the worst. We were two points off automatic promotion. Sunderland and Wigan were first and second. West Ham won the play offs yet we finished the season 12 points ahead of them.<\/p>\n
"After that season finished I spoke to David Sheepshanks who was the Ipswich Chairman. He said if a club from the Premier League came in for me he wouldn't stop me moving.<\/p>\n
