The Swansea City defender was as powerless as his team mates to stop the 5-1 defeat at Bloomfield Road but has joined shouts of team mates and manager to bounce straight back starting against Ipswich on Saturday.<\/p>\n

He told the Evening Post "I was humiliated on Tuesday<\/p>\n

"But you can take things in positive or negative ways. I think the most important thing to remember is that if you concede one or 10 goals, you only lose three points. <\/p>\n

"We hope and we're sure that these five goals will lift us on Saturday to go out and react and show that we are a better team. We have to learn from this and if we have 21 clean sheets this season it shows that we've been good and this has been a bad day.<\/p>\n

"We have to forget Tuesday and get back to the good times and the football that we can play.<\/p>\n

"Pressure is the most beautiful thing in football, and on Saturday we have to react, we have to win.<\/p>\n

"You feel disappointed because, as a defender, you always want to keep a clean sheet, but after 39 games one bad day can happen," he said.<\/p>\n

"We're humans and the best thing we can do is learn from this.<\/p>\n

"We're still in a good position. Tuesday was a horrible day, but we're still in the play-offs and we have to think of that.<\/p>\n

"We cannot think of negative things like we're not going to make it. We know that if we get a win on Saturday things are going to look very different.<\/p>\n

"Everyone is doing everything they can and I think at the end of the season we'll get the rewards we deserve — the play-offs."<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
