The Swansea City defender was captain of hos country when Wales beat scotland 3-0 at CCS earlier this season and he hopes for similar happy memories from his trip there next Saturday for a vital league clash.<\/p>\n
“I’ve actually got good memories from playing at the Cardiff City Stadium,” he told Wales on Sunday.<\/p>\n
“It was one of, if not the, most enjoyable games of my career.<\/p>\n
“So going back there is a bit strange for me. I actually like the stadium because I have got good memories there.<\/p>\n
“There won’t be many Swansea players that can say that. But I have only played there the once and I loved that game.<\/p>\n
“Now I just want to go back there and make new memories.<\/p>\n
“Hopefully I can go there with the Swans and get a similar result.<\/p>\n
“The two managers will have their say and the gaffer isn’t shy of saying something,” he said with a wry smile.<\/p>\n
“I think that is brilliant though.<\/p>\n
“It’s all part and parcel of football and you need the characters in the game to keep it exciting.<\/p>\n
“We will just wait and see what people have to say over the next week.<\/p>\n
“Of all the derbies we have had recently, this is probably the biggest one when you look at where the two teams are. It’s a massive game.<\/p>\n
“Form doesn’t matter because it always seems that anything can happen.<\/p>\n
“It’s very edgy and it seems that a spark can go in any minute.<\/p>\n
“It’s the sort of game that means so much to everyone.<\/p>\n
“I think it used to mean more to the fans than the players but, over the last few games, it means everything to the players as well.”<\/p>\n
