Keane was a little surprised to hear Swansea City fans voice their discontent after the 0-0 draw with his Ipswich side on Saturday – a result that left the Swans 5th in the table – 5 points clear of the non play off spots.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the Evening Post, Keane said "You will always get a few moans and groans when there are no goals in a game<\/p>\n

"The trouble is that football fans forget things very quickly. You give them a bit of success and they want more straightaway. I would like to swap positions with Swansea, but fans forget and they get impatient. <\/p>\n

"I think that with the season Swansea are having, they should be very pleased because they're a club making progress.<\/p>\n

"They have a great chance of getting into the play-offs and in the play-offs you never know what can happen.<\/p>\n

"If you think I am fearful of losing my job, don't kid yourself.<\/p>\n

"I have got a good wife and five kids and if the club want to move me on, they will move me on. But speculation doesn't keep me awake at night.<\/p>\n

"I am confident that we can have a better season next season, but sometimes you don't get that time."<\/p>\n

Keane declared himself happy with a point, suggesting his team had shown the sort of defensive grit required more often this season.<\/p>\n

"We were a bit more solid here and we have to do that more often," he said. "We could have done more in possession, but in terms of our set-up and work-rate, I'm pleased."<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
