Despite not heavily featuring in the initial odds (he opened with Victor Chandler at 20\/1) Magilton is being reported in today's Belfast Telegraph as already being the subject of a tentative approach from the Swans.<\/p>\n
The article reads "JIM Magilton is poised to return to football management, by again succeeding Paulo Sousa. <\/p>\n
"The former Northern Ireland international took over from Sousa at Queens Park Rangers in June last year.<\/p>\n
"Now he is in line to be the new manager of Swansea City, after the Portuguese departed yesterday, with Leicester City his expected destination.<\/p>\n
"It is understood that a tentative approach has been made to Magilton, who is believed to be interested in talking to Swansea about the job."<\/p>\n
Magilton – like Sousa before him – was a former QPR boss who was dismissed in controversial corcumstances – for Magilton this was last December. He was in the running for the Plymouth job recently and is reported to welcome a return to football management at our level.<\/p>\n
