Gower – who has moved into the centre of midfield more this season – was full of praise for the likes of Nathan Dyer and Scott Sinclair after they terrorised the Coventry defence on Tuesday night<\/p>\n
"The wingers are a big cog in our wheel," Gower told the Evening Post.<\/p>\n
"They make things happen out of nothing and are always lively.<\/p>\n
"They want the ball all the time, even if things don't come off for them, which is not always typical of a winger.<\/p>\n
"They are always brave on the ball. They are young lads and want to get at the defenders and leave them behind.<\/p>\n
"Nathan and Scotty can create something out of nothing. They make defenders commit, and their pace means it is hard to defend.<\/p>\n
"I think a few full-backs have already endured some nightmares after facing them, but they certainly won't be the last.<\/p>\n
"Scotty has done really well since he's arrived," said Gower.<\/p>\n
"All credit to the chairman (Huw Jenkins), he's paid quite a bit of money — for a club like ours — to get Scotty in and he's already making it look like a bargain.<\/p>\n
"He's a class player and he has settled into the squad quickly and the boys are benefiting from him being here.<\/p>\n
"He scored his third goal of the season in the week and I'm sure there's a lot more to come. He has so much potential and we're looking forward to seeing him unlock it here.<\/p>\n
"I've spoken about Scotty and Nathan and what they bring to our game, but we have other strong options<\/p>\n
"David Cotterill has played the central attacking role this season, but he is another guy with a lot of pace and a hunger to get down the flanks.<\/p>\n
"The club paid good money to get him here and he's a Welsh international too, so that shows you the talent he has.<\/p>\n
"We have Cedric who can play out wide too, along with Andrea (Orlandi), while I've obviously played out wide a lot.<\/p>\n
"I think my role is likely to stay in the centre for now though, but it's a position I'm really enjoying. Perhaps that's a good thing considering the competition we have out wide.<\/p>\n
"If we can get some luck away from home then things will look very promising for us," he added.<\/p>\n
"If you look at the away games, maybe we didn't perform as well as we should at Hull but, if the penalty goes in at Norwich, we have a good chance of winning that. If we got a second goal last weekend at Leeds we would have beaten them.<\/p>\n
