The Swansea City goalkeeper told the Evening Post “I never pay much attention at the beginning of the season, but my feeling is that we’ve made a better start<\/p>\n
“We have more points on the table, but it’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon.<\/p>\n
“Our home form is really good. All the games we had, apart from the last one, we’ve scored in and won.<\/p>\n
“Then last week we had our first victory away so all round I think it’s a better start to previous seasons and it’s something to build on.<\/p>\n
“We’re a more mature squad now, we’ve progressed again and step by step we’re progressing still,” said the 29-year-old.<\/p>\n
“We have all the ingredients to do well, we have quality from back up to front.<\/p>\n
“We can get great results away from home if we believe in ourselves and play as a team \u2014 that’s what Swansea have always been about.<\/p>\n
“We can score a lot of goals, but the key is to play as a team. Then it can be a great season.<\/p>\n
“Let’s hope we can start well after the international break because we have a couple of big games coming up.<\/p>\n
“Hopefully all the little injuries we’ve got will be sorted out and the squad will come back stronger.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
