“It wasn’t to be for Paulo at Leicester, and I think probably he should have looked at things and Leicester should have looked at things before he took the job.” Tate told the Evening Post<\/p>\n
“Mandaric probably saw that Paulo did a good job with us and didn’t look too deeply into it, while Paulo probably didn’t look too deeply at Leicester.<\/p>\n
“They have got a history of changing managers, a reputation for it, and Paulo probably should have thought about that.<\/p>\n
“But it was his choice to go and, as far as we are concerned, it’s history. It makes no difference to us and I think we are probably better off now.<\/p>\n
“At the end of the day Paulo knew what he was on about because he had done what he’d done as a player,” Tate says.<\/p>\n
“He had good players here. He had players who were used to playing the system he wanted to play and that probably helped him.<\/p>\n
“He probably tried to change things at Leicester, but the players didn’t take to it.<\/p>\n
“We are trying to compete with teams like QPR even though we are nowhere near them budget-wise, and in big games like that you have to take your chances<\/p>\n
“But we got a good win at\u00a0Reading\u00a0last Saturday and, if we can finish the week with seven points out of nine, we will be very happy.”<\/p>\n
