The Cardiff City manager launched an attack on members of the media for their writing ability following the defeat to Swansea that ended Cardiff’s winning streak in the Championship.<\/p>\n
His side were second best on the day to Brendan Rodgers’ Swans that caused many fans and journalists to question his tactics as he tried to compensate for the loss of Jay Bothroyd.<\/p>\n
But he hit back at the criticism and told the Western Mail \u201cWe\u2019ve just come off the back of six wins and we lose one. So you have to take whatever is thrown at you.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut some of the fools who are writing and everything else, they haven\u2019t got a clue.<\/p>\n
\u201cFine, you have to put up with it as a manager. But I can\u2019t believe some of the stupid things that come out of it. We lose a game and it\u2019s the end of the world.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s because they don\u2019t understand me. When I said I didn\u2019t enjoy derbies, I meant I do enjoy playing in them, but I don\u2019t enjoy the rubbish that goes with it,\u201d argued Jones.<\/p>\n
\u201cDoes it worry me they think I don\u2019t care about what the derby does? Look, they don\u2019t know me, ask my players about me.<\/p>\n
\u201cEverybody has an opinion, but you get character assassinated. They didn\u2019t character assassinate me for the six games before, but you lose one game and, because it\u2019s against local rivals, you are the worst.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat has happened is I have lost a football match. I\u2019m gutted and I\u2019m asked stupid questions afterwards about how I am.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf I stood there and said I\u2019m happy, I\u2019m sure that would suit them far better.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think people get a little bit clouded in this part of the world (about the derby), certainly some of the reporters writing on it.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think they are buffoons. They don\u2019t understand, have never played in a derby game. They just write what they want to write.<\/p>\n
\u201cI just do my job to the best of my ability. We have lost to one of our rivals, but if we win our next six games it\u2019s hunky-dory again.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhether we\u2019re playing Swansea or whoever, we want to win every match. We lost the last one, we try to put it right at Reading.<\/p>\n
\u201cI did a talk yesterday for the FAW Trust, who analysed the game for people doing their A licences.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey tell me we had more entries into the final third of the pitch and better chances, but we lost the football match.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe can analyse it as much as you want to analyse it. But a mistake cost us the game.<\/p>\n
\u201cYes, we didn\u2019t play particularly well, but there was hardly anything in the game. no clear-cut chances.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s my opinion and I\u2019m sure people will have other opinions.<\/p>\n
\u201cI would dread to be in the bottom two in this part of world with the way some react.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve got to put the season into context. We lost a football match. Pretty it up as much as you want. but don\u2019t judge us on one game.<\/p>\n
\u201cSuddenly I\u2019ve become the worst person in the world, the players don\u2019t care enough, they earn too much money. Don\u2019t do this, do that. But they do care, it\u2019s why we\u2019re second in the league.\u201d<\/p>\n
