It’s like a meeting of old friends for Dobbie who not only will be up against Mowbray but also fellow Scot Kris Boyd and former team mate Kevin Thompson.<\/p>\n
All are relatively new additions to the Riverside staff – Mowbray the recent replacement for Gordon Strachan whilst Thompson and Boyd arrived in the summer – the former for \u00a32m.<\/p>\n
And Dobbiw first off knows what the arrival of Mowbray can do for the side that was in the relegation zone just a week ago \u201cOnce Tony Mowbray goes in there and gets them playing the way he wants I don\u2019t see any reason why they won\u2019t start progressing up the league.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt will be a tough test for us.<\/p>\n
\u201cKevin is a fantastic player and I am sure when he finds his feet here he will be superb for Middlesbrough.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe wins the ball in midfield and is a great passer of the ball, so he is a real asset.<\/p>\n
\u201cI could see his potential at Hibs and the obviously he got the move to Rangers, and then Boro he\u2019s progressed really well.<\/p>\n
\u201cI know Kevin\u2019s abilities so it was no surprise when Middlesbrough paid \u00a32m for him.<\/p>\n
\u201cGordon probably got him for a bit less than he should have gone for.<\/p>\n
\u201cKris Boyd is a great finisher and his record speaks for itself.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere are some very good Scottish players there and I am sure they will start to do well.\u201d<\/p>\n
