The Boro boss saw Scott Sinclair’s late shot take a deflection to give the Swans the victory and that led for a disappointed dressing room after the game.<\/span><\/p>\n

“It’s hugely disappointing, the dressing room is very disappointed,” said Mowbray. “I have to take the positives out of it, we showed a terrific spirit against a team who have been together for three or four years now.<\/span><\/p>\n

“You have to be committed, disciplined and organised against them and we showed all those qualities. I felt for the team, it was the nature of the goal, it took a huge delection to go past Steeley.”<\/p>\n

Mowbray is an admirer of City’s slick passing style and the 301 travelling Boro fans saw a glimpse of how the new Boro manager wants his team to play, although such a change of culture won’t happen overnight.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I would like to come back here one day and show how good we can be when we’ve got the ball as well,” said Mowbray.<\/span><\/p>\n

“It’s always a balance between rest and trying to work on what we believe in. I’m not here to flog them early on and the philosophy I’m going to lay down will take a few months.<\/span><\/p>\n

“But hopefully Boro fans will see a team who play the ball around similar to Swansea as the months go on.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Hopefully, with a lot of hard work in the coming months, we can start to develop that.”<\/span><\/p>\n
