The Swansea City manager will be forced to shuffle a defence which has become watertight because of an injury to Garry Monk and a suspension for Alan Tate.<\/p>\n
Both will miss the weekend trip to Doncaster but that does not worry Rodgers as he explained to the Evening Post.<\/p>\n
“We will have to make a couple of changes, but we have got great players like Albert Serran to come in,<\/p>\n
“He is the perfect cover player in this squad and whenever he’s been called upon he has been outstanding. He is in contention along with Neil, a young guy who has done very well. They will obviously come into the frame.<\/p>\n
“The whole idea is to build a squad which can cope when injuries come. We have not had many, which is a tribute to the staff here and the fitness of the players.<\/p>\n
“But sometimes injuries come in games that you can do nothing about and you have to deal with that.<\/p>\n
“Neil was outstanding in his last game at Crystal Palace. He has done really when he has played and he is fresh, so there’s no problem there,” added Rodgers.<\/p>\n
“In the game at Watford, Albert was outstanding too.<\/p>\n
