A CONTROVERSIAL stoppage time equaliser from Swansea City’s Angel Rangel denied Doncaster Rovers victory at the Keepmoat Stadium.<\/p>\n
Sean O’Driscoll’s side were just seconds away from securing a 1-0 win after James Hayter had scored for the fifth consecutive game.<\/p>\n
But Rangel slammed in a leveller in the 93rd minute after referee Darren Deadman ignored please for offside from the home side.<\/p>\n
Hayter found the net with a diving header on 15 minutes after John Oster turned a Brian Stock corner back into the danger zone.<\/p>\n
As expected, there was plenty of passing football from these two sides – although relatively little in the way of goalmouth action until the second half.<\/p>\n
A ‘goal’ by David Healy was ruled out for offside early on and Swansea’a Darren Pratley shot narrowly wide when one-on-one with Rovers goalkeeper Neil Sullivan.<\/p>\n
Swansea goalkeeper Dorus de Vries made a good one handed save to deny James Coppinger after the break while, at the opposite end, defender Sam Hird made a brilliant last ditch block from Pratley.<\/p>\n
