“I’m due a goal very soon \u2014 I’m on a barren run,” he told the Evening Post with a smile. “Four games have gone by without me scoring so I have to get one this weekend.<\/p>\n
“There are plenty of goals left in me this season, as there are around the team.<\/p>\n
“I’m feeling pretty good when I’m on the ball and I’m going into games with the confidence that I can or will score.<\/p>\n
“I’ve got 12 already, which is great, but that doesn’t mean to say I’m taking my foot off the gas.<\/p>\n
“I’m learning a lot from every game. Teams are throwing two men on me a lot and that has meant I’ve had to adapt my game.<\/p>\n
“I have a lot more to learn and I’m glad the manager has given me this opportunity to do that.<\/p>\n
“In this league it is all about being consistent,” said Sinclair, who is set to make his 19th league appearance of the campaign tomorrow.<\/p>\n
His previous best tally of league games for a season was 18 \u2014 including just one start \u2014 when he was on loan at Wigan last term.<\/p>\n
“The games are coming thick and fast over Christmas so it is important that we all dig in to make sure we come out the other side of December in a strong position,” he says.<\/p>\n
“That will be a real test for us. It’s when the strength of the squad really comes to the fore and gives an indication of which clubs can cope.<\/p>\n
“The team has done very well to rise to joint second. I feel we have got the quality and characters in this squad to push on even further.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
