Britton made his prediction despite helping his Sheffield United team mates to a victory on Saturday – the Swans first league defeat on the road for more than three months.<\/p>\n
But he believes that the Swans can stay at the top end of the table and told the Western Mail \u201cSwansea are capable of staying up at the top end of the league with the squad they\u2019ve got and the quality and characters in the team<\/p>\n
\u201cThey will be disappointed with the result, but I\u2019m sure they will bounce back and come the end of season they\u2019ll be there or thereabouts in the top two or play-offs.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was a strange day playing against my former team-mates and club.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve got some good mates here and nice to see them.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was even stranger on the training ground with everyone talking about Swansea as the opposition because I\u2019ve never played against a former club before.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut the situation we are in we needed the points more than Swansea. We looked like we would be going in at 0-0 at half-time and then the goal came out of nowhere. It was a good time to score.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey are a more attacking side this season and press higher up the pitch. Under Paulo Sousa last season we sat back a lot more and let teams come on to us. This year the wide men and forwards are closing down higher up the pitch and making it difficult for the opposition.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey\u2019ve also got a bit more of a cutting edge at the top end. While it didn\u2019t show as much against us, it has shown in the results they\u2019ve had this season and their league position.<\/p>\n
